I scored this viruz on my desktop last week... but its clean now...

got the patch for it and everything...

Can I start using my computer again ? I am too afraid ! dont want to lose all my pron.. i mean my car video clips ! Very Happy

Not me! I patched up all my systems a month ago when I'd first heard of the RPC vulnerability.

The Windoze box at home sits behind a Linux firewall anyway. Mwuahaha

I am sooo sick of this worm... its just damn annoying, I have cleaned numerous system at work!! Mad Just when it started to 'die off' this stupid So Big virus hits huge. BUT keep you anti-virus up to date and you'll be fine.

yeah, we made HEAPS of money at work from this virus... simple as S#$% to remove but we charged about $75 to remove it..

Actually, the worm that's taking down systems right now isn't the Blaster, it's the "white worm", Welchia which is out to actually clean up affected systems.
The problem is that it replicates so fast that it's bringing networks down.

Apparently, these two worms seem to be a competition for some sordid individuals...
