yep xfader thats the one

sequential shift is just another word for it for copyright reasons, cause porchse i think came up with triptronics so other car manufacturers gave it all these different names. i think so anyway.

yeah so is it compatible with a 1G-GTE ??

I believe that sort of thing is possible with a fully electronic gearbox like the auto off the 1UZ-FE.

if u want to convert your everyday auto to a tiptronic talk to allan, he has done this in his supra, ive driven it and its a bloody fantastic little piece of gadgetry...

oh you mean TIPtronic not triptronics hahaha ok I get it now sorry I didnt click before Rolling Eyes

ok as far as I know tiptronic boxes are partially controlled by the engines own computer so as to achieve matched rev's at change unless they are the budget version which is like the Mitsi's have where it is basically an auto box type setup. So to answer your question I think a true tiptronic would have to have the engine computer to match the boxes own computer and I doubt the 1G computer would have that feature.
