ae-92/93 HANDBRAKE ADJUSTMENT Tue, 19 August 2003 09:57 Go to next message
Hey dudes, did a search and couldn't find much.
Does anyone know how and WHERE to adjust (tighten) the handbrake on an ae92/93?

Had a good look under car, and there is heaps of not-cool protective metal shroud to remove for good access to the cable. . .is the adjustment possibly in the centre console somewhere?

i really need my handbrake to be tight again Very Happy
Cheers

Remove the centre console where the handbrake handle is and you will find a nut and lock nut on a vertical piece of cable on the driver's side of the handbrake. Loosen the locknut, tighten the lower nut to take out excess slack from the cable and then tighten the lock nut onto the lower nut again.
