well.......i have an 87' corolla fx16(AE82)
me and my buddies have this sort of "war" going on with our cars......
ME-87 AE82(4age)
ANDY-88 vw golf (solid 8V)-286 cam, kent camgear, exhaust...ect
ERIC-93 delsol Si (1.6 sohc Vtec)-intake, exhaust, chip...ect
at the moment ive got them both....but andy is doing a 12V VR6 swap, and eric is doing an H22 swap.
now i know i have a few different selections......
here are the specs....
h22= around 200 hp
VR6= around 170 hp
they should be about even....but andy is going for a stage 1 turbo kit.....
i need something with some spunk and a 4agze isnt what i want, and the 20V just doesnt seem powerful enough for me...i might be wrong.....
i was curious about the 3sgte...would it fit, and would it be worth it?...could anyone give me some insight on this subject....what do you guys think that i should do??Please give me some insight.
thanks
Dave

No Toyota didn't bring out a 4agte get a 4agze piss off the super charger and get a good turbo. Good setups are making 240rwkw take a look at the article on this site it discusses the build up.

A well set up 4agte will be much easier to put in and a damn site cheaper than a 3sgte and should be sufficient enough to take care of your mates car's... the GZE blocks are tough bastards and will take a lot of punishment and put out a lot of power before going pop..
If money isn't a problem then go for the 3sgte!
