Disc brake setup on Hilux diff Wed, 10 July 2002 02:59 Go to next message
Hello all,
Does anyone know of a good disc brake setup to fit a Hilux Diff with the 5 stud pattern?
I was thinking Mazda RX7 series 4/5 rear discs and callipers. Nod
I'm open to any suggestions.
Thanks
Steve

If your not going to change the stud patten, you dont really need to fit disks! The drums work very well!

Hi,
The 5 stud pattern the Hilux use is the same as the Ford, Mazda amd Nissan 5 stud pattern so I was hoping a disc rear end off a late model car would fit, plus I didn't get the drums only the diff, diff housing and axles.
Thanks
Steve

Well i dont know what to say to that! Another problem you will have is the handbrake!
I looked into doing this a few months ago, and it just worked out too hard. It would of been easier/cheaper to get a borg waner cut down to suit my application!
