Hi Pplz,
Im jus wondering if i can get a bolt on brake kit for my TA22? I need to upgrade my brakes cos i have a 13BT in her now and she wont pass engine engineering with out larger brakes. I only need the front becos im getting the back ones upgraded when i get the diff conversion in a few weeks. Also if i can get a Kit where abouts can i buy it from? i wanna keep the same 4 Stud patteren.

The hilux/pug conversion is essentially bolt on refer to articles section. If yout don't want to do it your self and like paying someone else IDB do two kits one for $800 consists of the the rt132 strut, pug disc machined down and the RT132 caliper (Large dual piston caliper with a spacer to suit the width of the Pugeot disc). They will also sell you a conversion for $1800 or so that consists of strut uknown, disc unknown with mazda series 4 4 pot calipers.

Best bet is the pug/corona with hilux 4 pot.

yeah but the only bad thing is that i have no time my self to install it.. Btw is it hard to install ?

If its simple and comes with instructions and will take a weekend then ill grab them

Fairly simple unbolt the strut and steering arms, you will need to change strut tops and spring and then bolt it back in. It would not take you more than a day to do and its pretty much no brainer work.

can i get them in slottered disks? and will IBD COD? also i my brakes arnt TA22 brakes there celica 81 Disks and calipers. will that make a difference?

Yes. 1981 (RA40) Celica brakes are completely different to TA22 brakes, so a TA22-specific upgrade won't work for you. There are plenty of other options available to you though; try using the search feature of this forum as this topic has been covered many times.
