For Sale: 2 x 3SGE motors. One complete 3rd Series Motor and one 2nd Series in pieces. Motors are EX Osborne Production Racing MR2 units.
Both units have been balanced and blueprinted for racing but are standard for production racing rules.
Numerous spares including chipped standard computer and loom, 12 spare pistons and conrods (Used), ring sets, bearing sets, seals, etc.
I was going to use them for my Improved Production Celica but have changed my mind.
The whole lot $2,500.00
Don.

Guys - No replys?
These motors have had all parts lifed and replaced after exceeding there operation hours (OK if you can afford It)
I will sell individual components, it would be ashame to pull apart a fully balanced motor, but the second unit is in pieces and some parts, such as pistons, water pumps, seals, etc are still in their original boxes.
Don't be afraid to ask I need the $$$ for improvements to the race car!!!!

All parts are atandard, but the engines are both 150KW MR2 motors and with the chipped computer and other work the engines produce approx 160KW (210HP) Serious HP from a standard motor!

don,
interested in ecu (ecu's?) if gen 3 maybe also loom. gen 3 gasket set too.
Do you happen to have any spare valve shims for gen3?
looking for gen3 secondary exhaust pipe too - sw20 one, not celica one.

T,
I am not up on all the 3SG bits and pieces, my race car is a RA23 using 18RG and these motors were going to be used for the conversion. If the secondary pipe is after the exhaust manifold I don't have one. Sorry
The ECU and loom price is $500.00

hi dons,
If your in the right place at the right time you often get what you want, and you have exactly what i want.I'm in sydney, got a 91mr2 sw20 and am looking for a good non-turbo engine(bloody insurance). So please give me some more details,i'm very interested,if it's what i'm after it's your lucky day.Which of the 2 engines you have is complete?Which engine does the chipped ecu go with?Any chance of organising a meet so i can have a look at what you have.I probably want the gen 2,cause that would be easier for me to swap over.
Toby
it's been awhile mate, got rid of my corolla and bought a non-turbo 91mr2.i'm very happy with it.With what dons has for sale could i swap this into my mr2,or are there too many differences between the generations of the sw20??
Cheers Adrian

adrian,
if the numbers on the loom and ecu match (i need them to see what they are), and are gen 3, and the loom is uncut, you could retrofit it inot your mr2 (i have a aw11 with a gen3 3sge in it) but the exhaust secondary is different. the gen 2 setup i have is the same as will be in your '91 car (gen 3 cam out post oct '93)
gen3 motor will probably run on the gen 2 ecu, but not as well as it would on the correct one!

So can i just swap the ecu or are the plugs different on the loom. Its a real hassle swapping looms over.Could i just get a set of ecu plugs to suit the gen3 ecu then find out what the pinouts are and match them up to the loom in my car??

don
no pm recieved.
also do you happen to have the ignitor off one of the motors? looking for one with this part number: 89621-16020
adrian,
some plugs might be slightly different, but in practice can be made to fit. gen3 motor has all the same functionality of a gen2 (no extra vvt etc) so it may work.

The questions are coming thick and fast. It may be easier to call or e-mail me.
Mobile 0412 558 559
Email bbretec@bigpond.net.au
The part number for the ECU is 175700-2322 (89661-17300) 3SG M/T but the loom doesnt have a number.

that part number is for an aus delivered sw20 '89-91 ecu. it will not match the gen3 motor i'm afraid. odds are the loom will match the ecu (if the part number is there it will be down near the ecu connectors)
do you hve the igniter by any chance?
