I know the ae71 cross member bolts into th ke70 but does it bolt into a ke30 or will i have to weld in new mounts?

Ke70 cross member is totally different to all previous corollas. the chassis rails are wider and it is of a different shape. it can be made to fit, but you will need to modify the crossmember to bolt up to the rails.

it would be so much easier to just get some 4 or 5mm thick steel and weld up new mounts..... then you can sit the engine where you want (ie low). unless you really want the rack and pinion steering of the 70?

I've been told it's easiest to use the AE71 engine mounts, cut them off the crossmember and then weld them onto your KE30 crossmember. This is what I'll be attempting to do with mine.
