I've recently got my hands on a 100kw 4age, and have stripped it down to a bare block. i am sending it away to get acid dipped to clean it up before i start looking at what needs to be done.
What i was after was some thoughts on what you guys think would be some good moves in building a nicely powered n/a motor. something with power, but not over the top.
what do you guys think / recommend?

if you want more power, id say you will need cams and aftemarket management. apart from that, i would:
clean up/lightly port the head
MAYBEYE clean up the con rods, making sure to keep them all the same mass and balanced, maybeye get them shot peened
dont overbore the cylinders any more than you absolutely have to.
try using bigport cams, ast hey are higher lift and duration (i dont know if this will actually give you any more power to be honest)
