Yes or No?
Only asking because of current I've actually been driving my st162 without much powersteering.... should really put that belt on properly haha...
I don't mind a car without, my bro's beetle is easy to steer.... (76) but that only weighs 750kg's hehe.. my mates 626 is heavier then the st162.... not that bad either... i think gives you more of a feel. What do you say?

yeh, i reckon it gives you more of a feel as charliechalk said above. i drive my dads Gemini sometimes, and thats not hard to drive without power steering at all, unless your doing 5km/h in a carpark, it gets a little harder, but not really that bad. i drove sir_ae86's Sprinter the other day and that was awesome, now i know why they say AE86 handling is so good, no power steering but it was effortless even at low speeds, and had heaps of feedback.
as soon as i got into my VN Commodore it felt damn weird, was really light, took a bit to get used to it again.
but yeh, as long as its a medium to small car, you shouldnt have any problems without power steer, feels more natural, and saves you a bit of weight too.
later all!!

Power steering all the way...
I had no belt in the Rolla when I bought it and as soon as I got the belt on it, it was sooo much better... So much easier and especially when parking...

For some reason I have to have the power steering on.
I tried it the other day with just the key in to "unlock" the steering wheel, and the bugger would hardly turn. MUCH heavier steering than my old 'rolla had.

get with the times.. keep the power steering.. doing any track / corner work without it seems like extra effort esp for manual cars ...
You'll thank yourself next time you get into some intense gear shifting / one handed driving situations
