Not sure how efficient at cooling it would be...unless there is an area of low pressure created behind (outside) the openings, in order to force air through the engine bay and out...

As for looks, the wing should go. (To the tip, preferably). The vents may present a case for colour-coding?

Im going to say the vents with a lower profile may be acceptable, but are they going to be any better than the stock vents

Certainly they went about building in the right way! Nice finish too.

Not that familiar with the MR2, but if air can enter the engine bay from underneath the car it will certainly have no issues from getting out of those vents.

2 cents

If the vents were about 2 inchs high rather than those huge things I'd get one.

Hehehe.. im glad to see you all still have taste Razz

I personally think the guy went to so much effort to produce it with a nice finish... But i dont like how far they stick up...
The wing is all bad..
Also if your sitting at lights in summer the heat has really no where to go.. with the stock vent it can just crooze straight on up?..

IMHO he could have and should have spent more time in the design dept.

I would expect to find a vaccuum in the area behind the cabin there, although I think it would be stronger closer toward the rear window. Moving the vent outlets back may put them in an area of higher pressure and so make them less effective.

At least the vents have function - the spoiler is just ghey.

rice.

i think the vents are nice, maybe a little high but a nice design and finish

other things are irrelevant as this post is about the vent right?

Freak the air flow on the AW11 does come from under the car through the engine bay, so as the car is moving that engine lid would move more air though it than the stock item.

corvid,
the side engine bay fan takes care of heat disapation at idle/stopped, thats why it there.

a good bit of work was put into the lid, but not quite my taste.

we are all allowed to be different... Smile
