BOV's are stupid, and I'm 99% sure this is why your car is stalling. Put the stock one back on (or better, a generic Bosch recirculating one as I had on mine) and your problems will go away...

Also:
* you're mad for running it with no air filter
* this could have damaged the AFM and could be the reason for it stalling
* a pod filter is not necessary, a K&N drop-in one in the stock airbox with the front opening enlarged is all you'll need.

Being Air Flow Metered the ECU will not be able to compensate for an externally venting valve. If you want to fit a shiny one, make sure it recirculates. If you have a pod filter or a K&N & modified airbox as I described then a recirculatingone will make enough noise to make you look like a wanker if you want to.

the car was stalling before the bov went on so it cant be that. its not the a/c, because i have already tried that. the car only stalls when the cluch is released and the gear is in neutral. it doesnt do it every time, just every now and then.
yeah, im going for the wank affect, its my first turbo car, and i love it.
thanks people
ill keep you informed

What BOV came off it? It has to be venting back into the pipe between the turbo and the AFM, I have had this problem and Iwas quite pissed of (I enjoyed the sound of it blowing out into the atmosphere). Another thing to check is for air leaks, check every pipe. Check that the plug is connected to the AFM. Also maybe source another AFM and try that... Good luck. Post how you go....
