Drift Crashes Thu, 28 August 2003 01:57 Go to next message
Just thought i'd share a few drift bingles with the group.

Place: Beechmont Car: 180SX
There is a mad drift corner that comes out onto a main road. However this spot is in the mountains and on the far side fo the road there is a steep incline and a fence. The 180 took the corner way to fast, he musta pulle dthe E-Brake coz it started to spin at the end, hit the gutter bounced over n down the incline and missed all the trees etc and the fence by like 30cm. He then drove the car out with NO DAMAGE!!!!!!!!!!

Place: Burleigh Car: R32 GTS-T
This thing is a beast i mean the dude has a carbon fibre bonnet worth 1200 bucks and he drifts !!!! Started his slide a bit late, paniced whipped it out to far jumped the gutter with both wheels and ripped em straight off. Wheels axel and diff sprawled along the road. Luckily enough one of the boys was a tow truck driver and we got it outta there fast.

Place: Quix Servo Pacific Fair Car: Sil80
Saw some girlies, decided to show off, drifted corner hit gutter1 other side of road hit gutter2 and left the axels and wheels behind, hit light pole. 9000 dollars damage.

Place: Robina Parkway Cars: 2 Geminis
Not exactly a drift crash but funny all the same. 2 Stolen geminis racing eachother and playing demo derby like nudging eachother etc. One goes up this embankment on the side of the road loses it and rolls onto the other gemmie which by this time is at the traffic lights. Absolute carnage

By the way all of these crashes no one was hurt. And just a personal one. Cordia Turbo, smith street motorway, street racing, tyre exploded at 140km/h car ripped in half by concrete divider. Bonnet and engine were gone just the dash back left.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Dont Drift or Speed, just watch other people Very Happy

Oh and a VERY close call
Place: Springbrook Car: RX7 Series 3
Drifted out of corner lost control facing sideway on road. Tourist bus starts coming over the rise and a car is coming the other way. No where to go and the bus has all wheels locked and smoking sliding down this hill bearing down ont he rotor, the other car passes jsut in time and the rotor does a reverse 180 into the other lane and takes off. I dunno who the driver is but he did extremely well to keep his cool and get out of the way with a 10 tonne bus coming down on him. mind u I reckon he woulda needed a change of undies. Anyone else got close calls or silly smash stories???

Exacrtly and why " modified cars " get bad attention - its fucking idiots like these who dont DESERVE to have licences or cars - if you know any of these guys - tell em to get a life - and do that shit on a racetrack and save the rest of us motorists the unlikely happenings of coming across them

I agree with Classique71, since i got my celica im always paranoid about being pulled over by cops. every time i see one i worry cause i have a loud exhaust etc. I've never really given them a second thought until i had a car that stands out

JimmySR20,

Dude, Whilst drifting can be loosly classed as a form of motorsport and done well requires a large amount of skill, practicing it on the street is for the brain dead few !

Drifting should ONLY be done on a race track and then only when suitable to do so.

And as for stolen cars... I personally am in favour of the Death penalty for car theives ! (Legally or otherwise is a grey matter for me - God help anyone I ever catch attempting to steal mine as he (God) is the only one they will be talking to ! )

I think you get my sentiment.

Ha, only an idiot would post that! You knowingly watched two guys purposely destroy cars they had stolen and found it funny.

Jimmy your a funni kunt..

i was at the lights and this dude sped down the right side to make the orange light turning right. he's going a good 80 k's i rekon and he rips a fuken beautiful drift. he got the back out b4 he made the turn, lucky the road was wide cz he was going pretty fast...
well that was a good.. and i'd say neccasry drift in the 180, since if he didn't he wouldn't have made the light haha

btw
you "car enthusiasts" are complaining about what? if your car is legal then you got nothing worry about right? don't get a phat zorst on your car and then complain when u get canaried

and for those 2 "stolen" gemmi's, i'd find it funni too, as long as no one got hurt

I think we can all trace this stupidity back to Initial-D. Nothing against the actual cartoon, but the idiocy it inspires..
Put it this way: EVERYONE knows who Takumi is these days.. and that they all reckon drift is synonymous with "Panda Trueno's"

Q. "Whats a Trueno?"
A. "Err an AE86"
Q. "Whats inside an AE86?"
A. "Err darno, but it goes! beats Skylines in a drift!!!"
(Full sikk mate) Rolling Eyes

Idiots that cause road carnage give EVERY driver a bad name. I dont like the fact that i get singled out and picked on because my car has a stock "Turbo" sticker on the side and has a "phat zorst". I thought it was just a 3" exhaust, not "phat". Also i value my car way too much to be damaging it in such a stupid and reckless manner.

I reckon let them all drift into poles, then let the survivors drive Excels for the rest of their lives.

Oh and to all car thieves, Death is too swift a punishment for you. God/Buddha/Allah save you if i get my hands on you while trying to steal my car.

[/2c]

cheers

tom.
