just wondering if anyone has done this, i know they are the same block, but is it really as easy as it seems? (chain modification, etc)

No it's not easy - you need to swap LOTS of 18R-G parts into your 18R-C to make it work. Pistons, timing gear, idler shaft and lots of other little things. In summary: not worth the hassle, just get a complete 18R-G and be done with it.

yeah, thats what i thought. a friend was saying this swap would be so easy for me, but i thought there was more to it. thanks norbie
