Mazda are bringing out a coupe! Apparently the roof gives ith 3 times the structural rigidity. Handling is improved in every department which means it's faster through the corners. But it also means that you'll notice the lack of power even more.
Oh yeah, and I think it's prolly the only hard top car that'll be more expensive than the drop top version!!! They say it'll be $6k more...

But I guess a main appeal of the MX5 is the open top motoring experience ... we all remember Honda's attempts to design a hardtop version of the S2000 ... butch ugly.
Also, with the RX8 out and new RX7 in the drawing boards, this'd make the MX5 look underpowered in comparison.
Still, let's hope the designers come up with an attractive body shape.
