Which tyre is as good as the P6000 for the same price or less??

Cuz the P6000 is $110 for 15"rims and $210 for 16"rims... Sad

I know the Continental contisports are good but they are a bit dearer.

How bout the Brigestones or dunlops??

I have Bridgestone Potenza RE711's, my XX is going to receive Bridgestone Potenza GIII's when the current tyres are worn out.

But...if you think $110 for 15" P6000's is expensive, you don't wanna buy them Very Happy

16" tyres are well ovepriced (esp 50 series) - but they do seem to be coming down. I'd steer clear of Dunlops simply from personal exp - I had the Bathurst 1000's? on the Supra and these were supremely shit, crap traction when wet, wore out incredibly fast and a complete wast of money. Bridgestone Grid 2's were a lot more expensive but handled great and last well. Currently I have Kuhmo's on the back coz they're cheap and I'd heard good things - and after I got them I realised they have "Supra" written on the tyre! No shit!! Very Happy I think the 16"/50/225 must have been the Supra size!

Things could be worse...When we bought 17" tyres for our (now sold) Soarer, I told the blokes "Just give me the best...."
We ended up with Yokohama AVSs (Bloody good tyre BTW), but they cost...$1800 for the 4 Sad Sad

Sorry, a little OT...I guess the point is, you get what you pay for. (Oh, and don't compromise on quality just save a few $ )
[Edit: Dollar sign, not smiley... Sad )

I just fitted Potenza GIII 's (205/60 15 inch) to my cressida a couple of months ago. They were more than $110 each ( $133 I think) but are far superior to p6000's in my opinion and worth every cent. They are have much more grip, are much better under brakes, are really quiet and you can barely tell the difference between wet and dry road during normal driving.
The old saying you get what you pay for really does stand true when it comes to tyres.

heh - you guys have it cheap! - goodyear eagle f1 gs2's here - last 4 in australia - over $220 per corner ...

if you think $110 per tyre is expensive - dont buy a Gt4 ..

( it has yoko's on it at the moment )
