Most Common MkIII and IV suspension mods for cct Thu, 11 July 2002 15:03 Go to next message
Hi, as above ...

... but I'm not interested in springs and shocks at this stage.

Do people modify their A-arms or similar for race setup, so they can modify castor, toe, camber etc. easily? What about lightweight/alloy hubs? Roll bars etc im not fussed about at this stage ... I'm primarily interested in tuning the suspension geometry.

Any experiences? pictures? linx? abuse? ... much appreciated

(oh, also, im assuming that the suspension setups on MKIII & IVs are similar, they are both unequal-length non-parallel double-wishbone setups arent they? Sorry, another question ... Smile)

Now, The reason I'm asking is: I want a circuit car (remember: im only worried about the suspension here ... no engines/weight/class/blah comments Smile) and want to know of what sort are the modifications i would have to make to these suspension setups, so I have an easily tunable, relatively versatile suspension setup.

If this dosent make any sense ... sorry :/ *donns flame-suit*

TIA
