Yeah, I'm pretty sure that 30-45 over = loss of license for one month.
My advice - Save the postage costs on that letter.. You'll need it for buying bus tickets..

unfortunately when it comes to speeding,
once they've given out the fine, they are ridgid as anything...
I guess we just have to learn our lesson
rock on.

you'd be amazed how long it takes for the loss of licence to come thru
my brother got done *last year*, sent them a letter debating it, and he's only just about to lose his licence, 9 months later

mind you, he actually was actually in the right in debating the fine, but they wouldn't listen to him anyhow.

dont right a letter if u were actually in the wrong
cause next mine if your in the right and u write a letter....they'll look at your background and see that your a whinger and u tried to get ou of a ticket b4 so youll lose credibility
thats my 2 cents anyway

I had a mate who got done for this ..
took about 6 weeks to get the notifcation ... 3mths loss of license. If you were going 45km+ over the limit its a 6mth automatic suspension

just so youi feel even worse, a mate got pulled over for 100 in a 50 zone last night, and got let off 'cause the cop thought his car was sexy (black TT mkiv supra, 19" rims, lowered, exhaust, immaculate)

damn, another reason i'm glad to live in perth
30-39 over = 4 points, $250
40+ over = 6 points, $350
no suspension as yet, but i'm sure they'll bring it in one day soon

How many points do you get on your license in Perth?
In Vic it's 12 and they're there for 3 years.

I am in NSW,dunno how they would be in other states for makin this work.
But this is what my friend did, and worked out all good.
Dodge handing in your actual physical licence card.
And keep driving, just careful not to speed with cameras and shit, butr when get pulled up for RBT, you have your actual licence card, and you are sweet.
So just keep that and lay low, so cops only do a visual check, to see you have one and not fake....worked out well for friend who lost his temporary.
