AE92 boot struts Sun, 31 August 2003 23:55 Go to next message
There are 3 main things I am after.

I am getting in desperate need of a drivers side front disk break as my one is pretty much buggered. I am also after a set of AE92 seca boot struts to stop the bloody boot hatch falling on my head and the last being the plastic step under the back drivers side door and preferably in brown. Any of these things would be a huge help.

I have a pair of AE92 front disks, calipers, hoses and pads - all in very good condition. Only removed from vehicle a couple of weeks ago.
Have pair of AE82 Twincam Seca struts - don't know if they are same length as AE92 though.
Also have AE82 Seca brown foot steps - will check later to see if they fit an AE92. I think they are a little longer than the hatch but might still fit.

Hi Swank,
$40.00 for the brakes complete or $20.00 for the two disks.
The plastic piece is a little bit longer ( but would fit )and has the same shape at both ends - like the back of the AE92 piece. However the front of the AE92 doesn't have the stepped part because the pillar trim is thicker so it won't fit properly. You might be able to bodgey it a bit but it'd probably be better to get the right one. $5.00 if you still want it. Cheers, Scorps.

Get some reco'd struts man...

Look in the yellow pages or something for a bonnet strut reconditioner and ask them...

Shouldn't be too expensive...

I rung up a place that re-gasses struts and the bloke quoted me $80 for him to come out and re-gass them. Might try the local wrecking yards as I think 1 of them has 1 or 2 secas. Just thought I might try here first

Mate, they sounds awsome but im looking at doing the same thing as you really. Im only really getting brakes to fix up my car then I want to sell it and get a SX seca. I also have my eyes in a CSi so if I end up getting that, I will let you know and if you still have them, I will grab them off you
