1GGEU ECU

Hello All
I have a 1983 Toyota Supra import, running a 1GGEU.
I'm having troubles with the reliability of the Supra and I'm told my ECU is playing up.
Does anyone have one they can sell me? perhaps left over from an engine conversion or something? Either that or a cheap aftermarket option?? i'd like to try swapping the ECU's first before I dive into an expensive Aftermarket option, incase it doesn't solve the problem..
I've tried my local wreckers, but Aussie 1G ECU's have different plugs, therefore, it has to be from an import.
Thanks
Damien

Try JCMF. He ripped his 1Gee-gee out when the GTT arrived. Better yet, have you though of joining the Perth twin-turbo Mk2 Supra club?
Guys, we just gotta get together sometime. There's a lot of us in WA.

hey Justin - thanks for the prompt reply.
Since I'm a newcomer - how do i get in contact with this JCMF??
if I can source a 1GGEU ECU in Perth that would be tops!!
At the moment I'm a non turbo man - but if there is some sort of Mk2 Club in WA I'd be interested for sure!!!
Any further details you have, let me know!
Cheers

Yeah, there;'s quite a few of us with Mk2 Supras in varying conditions of disrepair. So far, we all mumble about getting together one of these days ... and that's it.
There ARE quite a few GA61's in town - so I'm sure you'll find yer ECU here. The Toyota wrecker in Bayswater used to have a few 1GG's - but he'll charge ya like a wounded bull!
Keep in touch. We WILL get together some day!

Thanks J.
luckily I got one of the better condition Mk2's in Perth.
I shal e-mail nathan and see what he has to say about ECU's. We'll have to start up a Mk2 Mailing list or something?! Anyways - thanks for the tips and keep an eye out for me on the roads.

Damo,
What colour is yours? Where do you drive? Maybe I have seen you around? Tell us about your car. Have you had a look at www.celicasupra.com? Good US based forum, down at the moment but due back tomorrow.
JCMF is your man for all things One Gee.
I've been off the road for the last 4 months - implanting a 1JZGTE. And it's Toyota SDR Red, if you'll forgive the redundency (as in "the ATM machine").

Hey J
Send us your e-mail address with some details of your car and I shall send you some details of my car with a couple of pics.
Unfortunately my supra has been off the road a bit lately also with the mentioned ECU problems and so on - but hopefully it will soon be back to its roaring best. And then its only a matter of time before I replace the 1G with the 7MGTE for a bit of extra kick!!
PS...
Anyone else with a mk2 Supra / Celica in perth that reads this, feel free to email me also with "MK2" in the subject and hopefully i can start some sort of mailing list.
My email address is: djferraz@yahoo.com
Cheers

Hey Mark2 owners - as previously mentioned, I have started up a mailing list for Perth Celica/Supra owners and enthusiests in Perth, WA.
Send a message to:

hopefully we can then organise some meets and some cruises, etc etc.

It would be easier to spend a weekend with a 1GGTEU I'll let you know how I go, but I know for sure there is a damn good reason I chose the swap
