i question my ability to tune my twin delortos to the point of if i get there its only by luck or stupidity. does anybody know of a web site where a explination on tuning these is? and I'm a 3rd year mechanic apprentise so i do have access to the tools i will need.

or

does any one know of someone in northern sydney who can tune these for a reasonable price?

Once it's jetted properly dual carbs are easy to keep in tune. The massively hard part is getting the jetting right in the first place.

Have a look around Daves site, very informative, I visited it quite often when I was initially setting mine up.

My old man is a wiz at tuning side draft carbies. I call him the man with the golden spanner, but I guess I am biased. If you get stuck, give him a call and he can show you how you can get them to sing using nothing but a screwdriver and a bit of garden hose.

He actually has a set of triple Delortos sitting around somewhere for his charger Evil or Very Mad

He is in Hornsby, give him a call if you get stuck 9476-3935

I wouldn't say keeping them in tune is easy, but if they are tuned well then you shouldn't have too much trouble keeping them there. They are definitly a lot more work than my wifes stocko XE fairmont. Actually I don't think the carby has been touched in the last 5 years.

That's a pretty cool little program he's set up.

How do the dellortos go for availability of the jets and bits suggested in that article.
