Probably just me but what does everyone think about the car pictures on the forums?

I have 2 problems with them...
It's very hard at work to read the forums when I have a big picture of a car in the middle of my screen. If it wasn't for the picture I could sit on the forums all day long and look like I'm doing some productive work Smile

Also from home on dialup it slows things down a lot.

What does everyone else think? Maybe I should get back to work......

Yeah, maybe the forum could be in a different frame! If you want the forum with the picture at the top, you just load the all the frames!

The pictures will be going shortly... They will be replaced with banners from the new Toymods sponsors... Just advertising i presume... I don't think there will be any pop-up ads just the banners at the top of each page... Sounds alright to me cause we get discounts...

The pix up the top are only 30kB... Not that large and don't take very long to download....

For me its not the fact that picture is to much to download, cause its not. Its the fact that when i'm at work looking at the forum and somebody walks past and sees a car on the screen!
What about the avatars I hear you say, well they dont really stick out like dogs balls like the picture up the top of the screen!

Yeah the download time was only to add to my arguement Smile

It mainly is the fact that browsing the forums is hard to do from work with big car pictures all over it.

guys, it's a car forum.
I wouldn't expect to see work pictures on here just like I wouldn't expect to see car pictures at work. I have the net right in front of me all day long and wouldn't be able to browse more than 5mins in a day. I envy you all that can afford the time to read car forums at work.

i like the picture, i understand they need to be changed but i have no problem with them. Yawn
another thing if you have problems reading the forum at work, read it at home, and do work at work.
Or start your own forum

Just a suggestion, how about a picture section.

I've got some photos of turbos and car mods i'd like to post so everyone could see because i think it's beneficial.

Maybe it's the cost factor but a section similar to "Cruises and events" or something thats for photo's would be great.

I dont know if it's what you guys are suggesting but i dont like the idea of a picture eveytime you post, look at Supraforums.com and its very annoying seeing a the pictures again and again.
Just my 2c.
