i was coming home on saturday up springwood road and i passed a corona EXACTLY the same as mine, same gen3 RT104 same rims {std} same colour everything.
i normally take a left up the first crest{set of lights}, i saw him flying up behind me so i thought this'll be funny, they pulled up beside me, 2 young fellas with BIG smiles {knew it was gonna be 2 side by side 25 sec passes}, i didn't rev it all cause its a give away then {twins}
i took off real slow so they got the lead then i stomped it 
went flying past, chirped 2nd real loud as i went past their open window, and kept going till i hit 120k, they were about 100m back by this time 
then i did a u-bolt at the next roundabout and headed back chirped 3rd gaing back too, just to let them know who's boss

LOL Apollo.. funny!
speaking of extra slow races, my most embarassing moment was in my mates 5SFE powered anchor against another 5SFE powered 'WRC' anchor. That race will endure as an eternal embarassment to toyota...
anyway, didn't mean to hijack! sorry!

yes they red line at 6,000 but there is no rev limiter and when the wheels are spinning the revs climb fast! technically they can rev until a piston flies through the block, if yours is 4a-c try it itll get there, if it breaks i am not liable

my old 18RC went to 8000rpm  Being excessively loose in the piston/bores kinda helps.
And shitbox races are the best! Me and a mate in his old 929 turbo (minus the turbo) kept having runs up and down this one street, and it was a shocker to see us two revving the tits off our cars, only to have stock commodores overtaking us.
