Vinyl Seats re upholstery options

I was thinking of getting mags and doing the suspension before I reupholstered the seats but cruising out for lunch reminded me that it is getting to summer and these vinyl seats have to go. What is the best option in terms of looks and heat retention to get the reupholstered in? I've been thinking of either velour or leather, but am open to any suggestions.

hmmm fluffy velvet????
leather gets really hot. REALLY
velour is probably the most neutral in terms of temperature, but also doesn't have all the cool 'class' of a leather option....

I hate sheepies I don't mind the look of velour, plus I can rub the seats ala Zap Brannigan

Ok, if you're going velour, then it's time to just pull your current seats and get some recaro's.
You know you want to, and this is a good excuse.

I like the look and feel of the standard seats, plus I want to keep the interior stockish. I will get new wheel and gear knob, possibly pedals but I want to keep the seats looking the same.

have you looked in the quokka? try and find celicas ring up and ask what the seats r like or you could prolly find some second hand bucket seats for just as much as it would cost you to re cover them.
or spend $380 each on some saas items

How much did it cost you to get them re-trimmed? And what is the heat level like? Like I said, I don't really want to get new seats cause I want them to look the same front and back, plus I have no complaints with the support of my seats, not even the look, I love em, just the heat levels in summer.

well i actually bought the seats retrimmed, so i cant help you there. but i did pay 450 bucks for the seats, (front, passenger and rear.)
with the heat issue, they still heat up (being black) but not half as bad as the vinyl standard items. and once i get the windows tinted it hopefully wont be an issue at all!
