Just wondering how hard it would be to put power steering into an RA28 i believe they have a steering box which i think would make it a little hard, but just wondering if anything may bolt up to make it easier, whats involved in the conversion, i am planning a 1ggte into mine, so having pulleys for it wouldn't be a problem, and maybe i could use the P/S pump of a 1ggte??? and has anyone actually done it or looked at it???
Cheers
Aussie
P.S. The reason for me wanting Power Steering is because i am planning to set the RA28 up for drifting, and P/S would make it much easier

Gidday
You should be able to find a steering box that will suit. Try one of a mark 2 corona. It you are fitting a 1ggte you may have some clearance problems. Just measure it all up.

Don't be a girl. RA23/28's have really light steering - they don't need power assistance!

Thanks for the responses (except u norbie ) but yeah it is quite light i'll give it that, but 4-5 revolutions to go from full lock to full lock isn't so easy to do (or fun) in the space of 1/2 a second... catch my drift

You need a quick-ratio steering box then. Power assistance won't make your steering any quicker, just lighter.

Most power steer boxes run "quicker" ratios, so will turn "faster". Try finding a box from an import RA4X, some of them are power steered.
