on the contrary, the one in adelaide is a once off.
So if you really want one.. get your hands on it quick cause it's a bargain..
I've enquired about it through an importer.
They say it's very hard to get, and if they can.. should be about $3k.
a lot of the cost is actually through shipping.
Also, you'll have to wait about 6-8 months normally.

I really doubt it. If it was that cheap, why don't you see a lot more trueno nosed sprinters around the streets. I mean, a good set of standard aus spec panels will set you back $800. If people have front smashes all the time, why don't they just go trueno??? It'll add a lot of value to their car and not for much more in price.
As I said, patricks front cut is a great price, and you better be quick about it. If I was in adelaide, I'd definitely go and pick it up...
rock on.

With the trueno, it's pretty tough..
Australian wreckers only stock what they are given from japan. Because truenos were not sold in Australia, japan does not supply australia with sprinter trueno parts. simple as that.
To import part by part is very costly, because it's like shipping BIG individual parcels through the post and freighting. Also, a complete front takes a lot of time and shopping in japan.
With regards to the average cost of a fully dressed front cut...
I've been quoted 3.5 to 4k.
with a 3-6 month wait.
shipping should only be about 1k(from of the price quoted) I think.. but most of the cost is incurred because these are VERY popular in japan (japanese people smash their trueno's all the time whilst drifting). The supply of these things are also scarce (they didn't sell to many when it was new)..
that said, it is no wonder that there is a 3-6+ wait on one. I gurantee you, there is no on the shelf stock for these things. As I've said before, if these panels were cheap and readily available, A LOT more sprinters on the road would be truenos.
rock on.

Beucase on top of this price, you gotta paint and prep up the car.. do a bit of welding too so it fits.
be patient, once in a while, a trueno comes up thats for sale.
rock on.
