Hi,
does anybody knows if the Corona (XT or RT) caliper-brackets fit on a Ra28 strut? Or if just the spindles + brackets could be interchanged?

Due to the fact that I life in Germany, it's almost impossible to come by an complete corona strut, and shipping cost are Razz huge, whether from the US or Australia for whole assemblies.
Cheers, Gregor.

Gregor,
If the RA28 caliper mounting bolt holes are 90mm apart, centre to centre, those Corona calipers *should* fit.

Thanks Mitch,
but what I wanted to know was, can I bolt the corona bracket to my Ra28 strut. If not, can I change over the complete corona spindle with bracket to the Ra strut?
Does anybody know the bolt pattern of the corona bracket? (4 holes I assume). Or can anybody say, if there's a different between corona and celica spindle, in the area where they're bolted.
Cheers, Gregor.

That's the thing about the corona struts caliper mount, it's not a bracket, it's cast with the axle & that whole bit (the spindle?). I don't know how easy it is the change spindles, but if you're able to do it I would say they'd swap for sure, the struts are absolutely identicle apart from the caliper mount.
That's what makes the celica struts handy though, you can fabricate brackets for almost any caliper & just bolt them to the strut, so make sure you hold onto them for future upgrades. Smile

Hi Joel,
thanks for the information... no bracket eh Embarassed good to know
Besides, great looking Celica on that picture... nice rims! Surprised
I don't have a clue how difficult it is to swap spindles over, but should be able to check this out... and like you said, there's always the option of manufacturing some brackets to standard struts... Rolling Eyes
