icon5.gif  JP pistons - does someone on here work there?? Fri, 05 September 2003 10:22 Go to next message
Am just curious as i remember i read something that gave me the impression someone on here either worked at JP pistons, or had something to do with their work... ive tried search, but cant find it...

anyway - im just wondering exactly what kind of work they are capable of doing. they cast classic and historic pieces, i know, but i was wondeering if they can also do castings to custom requirements/designs, or even 'blanks' ie: cast pistons to a given bore/gudgeon pin/crown height but with a solid 'blank' top into which someone can then CNC or mill their own crown design and flycuts?

if someone knows, or if someone knows anywhere else that does this, please feel free to voice up Smile

(and yes i realise the like of JE do this kind of thing Smile )

cheers
ed

If you don't need forgies then JP's could do the job for you.

If you ask for a blank top, they will make a blank top for you.

Their prices are fixed, so if you don't want machining, it will not be any cheaper.

$660 for the set, maybe cheaper without rings (you'll want different rings)

I have been posting info about these guys lately but I do not work for them, I just had them do some research for me for 18rgu pistons.

If you want more info I can probably help.
