I'm new & for my first post a very technical question

Here in the states the most popular thing to do is swap a 3s-gte into a FWD celica. We dish out anywhere from $1,000 to $3500 depending on the model for a clip. We get into the swap & get it all done we remove the rear ouput shaft & cap it off we custom hybrid axles, & it drives, it goes, but it constantly feels like the clutch is slipping. I have come to the conclusion that the ST185 tranny has either some kind of spider gears that transfer torque from the front to the rear or is has a viscous coupling setup. The problem we have is that we dish out this ungodly ammount of cash on a clip & then it takes way longer than it was supposed to, way over budget we finally finish it to find out we have to spend another $1500 on a tranny MR2TURBO tranny!
Is there any way to lock the center differential so 100% of the power is transfered to the front instead of a 50/50

if u just want it finished the i used the sv21 box, for my 3sgte fwd st162 conversion, maybe the tranny will have the starter in the same position as the box, i don't know.
To answer bansheebuzz's question, the starter motor for the celica box and tranny sits where the turbo piping is. And the MR2 turbo box is from a 3sgte, so it can handle the force. The sv21 can handle the force so long as u don't push it to hard.
