Hey all,
Well my 4agte Aw11 Mr2 project is going ahead..
I will be getting a manifold made up..
Just wondering who would be interested in getting one as well??
It will be a log type (cheaper and flows enough for a mr2)
Let me know and ill start puttin some piccies together..
Oh yeh.. more than likely will be a t28/25 flange as its an easy upgrade for the GT25 series..
Thanks,
Lyle

Hi, it should fit a ae82... but i wouldnt bother with a ct26.. they are shite match up on a 1600cc.. one of the guys here tried it and opted for a t28 not long after..

It comes down to bad case of LAAAAAAAGGGG,.. its gota a huge rush very high.. but way to much laaaag.. just sell it and buy a t28.. ive seen non ball bearing t28's (which would still be way better suited) for $400

i no they are a lagy turbo but the thing is if i hi-flow the ct26 and run about 21pound i think i should get about 200 kw
what well i get if i run a t28 on that kind of boost well it shit it self or well it power on
im not all keen on big power up front i dont mind the turbo spooling up at about 5000 rpm if i run some one anti lag
so pls tell what well power on to make the best power
thanks

hell yeah I wouldnt go back, for the price of highflowing & rebuilding the CT26, and still having a shithouse chunky design, i'd much rather go for one of Garrett's aftermarket GT25 turbos.

Sure, I dont disagree, the CT26 highflowed will flow shitloads up at the top of the revs if you pump some boost (20psi +), but why would you want to? Is this for a drag car? I dont imagine that you'd have a lot of room in an AE82 to make a decent manifold to fit a cumbersome oversized turbo like the CT26... leave it up to the 6 cylinder boys Outright power at the wheels is not the only aim if you want a quick and enjoyable street car. Its only fun for a while to play catchup, waiting for your car to make some decent boost while 'normal' cars get a 5 car jump on you 'cause you picked an inefficient turbo.

Yeah ive been thinking about this for a while now, ive got the sc14 ready to go on, all ive gotta do is stuff around with the pulley and all should be sweet. But if i could get a nice turbo manifold for a decent price, ill ditch the blowers and definately go turbo. Keep me posted.

"It will be a log type (cheaper and flows enough for a mr2)"
hmm i dont get what you mean, a manifold either flows well or it doesnt its not circumstantial to the motor or car...
HKS USA still make compact T2 flanged manifolds for 4ag they are $260 odd i would expect a price of about $400 aus delivered to your door.
