ok i thought i new if my gear box is lsd but now im not that sure could u guys give me a hand and tell me how to tell if i have a lsd gear box
p.s the box is not in the car and i dont have shfts onlt a half one

put a driveshaft in and turn.. then look through the other side.. it should spin in the direction your turning the shaft..

hold one front wheel and turn the other fornt wheel

if its has slight drag on it its viscous

if it has a fair bit of drag it is probably lsd


not sure if this is right with toyota diffs

its just a general assumption

thank you very much all this info is helping but still dont no yet box isnt in car and i cant find shafts and then if i do which one is a trial and errror thing

plenty of info on this at www.twincam.org

unless this box is from a 4A-GZE motor/front cut, then it most certainly isn't LSD.
