Was looking at the bearing book at work and noticed that a 22R crank and 18R crank have the same size journals.
So i was wondering if you can fit a 22R crank in the 18R block and if so what rods pistons etc do you need to use. Also with a 270 head and 45 webbers what would the HP increase to?
I'm looking for more power for the std 18RG mtr in the clubman as it just isn't enough anymore.
I need more power.HELP

Yes it can be done with some machining. However, those who have done it say it's not worth it. The extra displacement is good, but the poor rod/stroke ratio affects revability. The 18R-G is built for revs, so this seems like a backwards step. If you want more power, forced induction is easier and far more effective!
