If its got fuel, chances are no spark? Points, rotor, power to coil maybe?

If it was the engine fuse you'd be able to start the car but it wouldn't run. Maybe flooded the carby? I've had that problem. have to let it sit for a while. Maybe try and start the car with your foot flat to the floor.

My dad looked at it and says its the relay thing on top of the coil bracket, What is it and what does it do, can i bodge it to fix it or can i get a new one?
He said he bridged a wire over it and it started first click.

I think you are refering to the ballast resistor.
You can bridge it (I did that to my 18R-C engine for awhile), but to be honest I don't know the problems that will cause.
It's there for a reason so.... Best to go get a new resistor, they cheap and chips from autopart stores!

If it is the balst resistor you are talking about by shorting it you are providing the coil 12V this will burn the point out eventually. Best to get a new ballast resitor for a few bucks. or replace the coil with one that doesn't require a resistor.
