Can a moderator please remove the posts with links to the rip of our movie?
If you enjoy it you should buy it if we don't sell any movies there will be no more, we still have a lot of expences for this last movie that has to be paid.
We do this as a thing we enjoy for the kick not for the money but we still need to hit break even to keep going.

Getaway , how do you think you could ever stop anyone ripping off your movie ? All someone has to do is say : convert dvd to vcd , use say a program like winmx , add it to there shared folder , and let people download it {or just buy a copy from asia }. I have nothing against you , and yes this does suck due to ,i have payed for the first two of your films . But when is this available here in Australia ? We still haven't got number three here ! But i can get a option of hot version dvd the next week after it comes out . If you are in stockholm do you need me to add some to my next air freight of parts coming from there next week .

There are levels of protection against piracy. You can make the dvd itself a hassle to rip. Just convert the movie file into hundreds if not thousands of seperate parts. Not many people would be stuffed bothering to rip each one and hten structure them back in order. I think the file extension for dvd video files is .vob. The problem with this solution is that some dvd players may skip when tracking the next part of the movie. But if it could be done seamlessly, it would make riping the movie a lot more difficult

I can tell you now, the only hassle that would make for me is:
click
hold shift
click.
That's it. The program I use puts vobs altogether into one large file in end. But heck, if you really wanted and had a dvd burner, there is dvdxcopy which will do ALL the work for you.
While on the piracy subject, no I didn't pirate this movie. My mate had it and I just watched it. I didn't "borrow" his dvd of it at all.
The extras were good. But yea, as mentioned a couple of times, GIS2 was the peak of the series.

We are aware that we can't stop the copying and spreding of our movies, what we do however is (like I did above) ask people not to spread it, we are not making a whole bunch of cash of the movies, most of the money is re-invested into the next movie (you would be supprised how much it actually costs to make them) so we ask people to buy it if theylike it. We try to browse the internet and ask not to spread it through forums like this one.
If they can't prevent Star Wars to come out on the internet 2 weeks before release there isnt much we can do either but to ask people not to spread it.
As far as the comments that the drivers are breaking the law in the movies by driving on public roads, sure I can se your point but we are not agiainst the copying for leagl reasons but for the reason that we can't afford to make any more movies.

nice supra! Now I play Project Gotham 2 which has, funnily enough, Stockholm (as well as Sydney) on its lists of cities to race in..
watch one, play the other.. lots of fun!

actually, i bought Getaway in Stockholm 1 & 2 the other day in K-Mart for the princely sum of $12 lol.  
they had heaps of them too, and it was advertised in the catalogue, they must have picked up a shitload of them for cheap haha.

We consulted Bizare Creations who made the game and helped them with the Stockholm track, if you look at the thank you text in the broschure you will find us
When they decided on the cities they choose Stockholm based on the Getaway movies.

Which store ? Please check with whoever supplies your dvds in Australia , i have checked in most places in Melbourne and i haven't seen it . Have also searched the bookstores dvd stores etc on the net in Melbourne and none have number three . And don't expect to sell many copy's from you site , wait till you have to deal with customs and transport company's in Australia . Not to mention the Australian film industry cracking down on all imported dvd's at the moment , just ask the importers of Best Motoring / Hot version how many people have parallel imported there dvd's causing repossession of there goods due to it being imposable to prove which is which from the many raids that have taken place lately . Good luck , the laws are crazy here .

Clown , thanks for telling me autobahn had it , after a weeks wait to get it in { normal autobahn never stock anything } .
Well what do i think ....
First a NSX is not a Supra or Cossie or Porsche , not the same sound , power , looks , and no flames from the exhaust . The nsx is a boring car to watch , yes its mid engine and handles well as any Best Motoring sponcered driver with tell you . But Doesn't have the same appeal as the other cars selected before .
Second , 55 mins and mono , why do people buy entertainment dvd'd , to be entertained . Why a crapped mono sound format ? And the drive though Stockholm this time is like half of that , The preview contains all the highlights from the driving , and what about the route taken this time , i think anyone is able to drive around what looks like a park with nobody there fast , or to drag off a saab 9-5 low boost model with a NSX , Maybe you should try a getaway in any Australian city , i am sure a 5.7litre hsv commordore would be a little more competition that any saab {even a divvy van would be} . So that was the only chase ? .
Third , The extras , lots of old bmw's doing burnouts and donuts . You have nothing on Australians here , Just go to Summernats if you are into that stuff . And bikes , a big add for some stunt riding team , i couldn't careless about bikes , if i did why would a buy a car dvd . The logic department must have been out to lunch with the extras . Very normal stuffing about that can be downloaded from lots of sites .
Four , Really disapointing in general , You better make it up in the Forth One . And if people want to see it , just go to :

Anyway, I'm gonna go down and grab GIS2 tomorrow. If I like it, I'll grab GIS1 and keep my eye out for GIS3 and 4.
Although whoever it was made a good point, you make a DVD about breaking the law then get upset when people illegally copy your CD. I understand why, but it's kinda funny don't ya think?

Kmart stocks GIS 1+2 on one dvd... for $12.95
