Rob, how was the gasket "fit" being aftermarket? I've had a few bad Fits when using aftermarket Toyota stuff, so tend to swing towards genuine stuff now?

How different is it to a 2t gasket kit. Obviousily the manifolds will be different as will other gaskets that bolt onto the heads but these are easy to make. Head gasket? crank seals ? valve stem seals ?

I know when rebuilding and 18rg I used an 18RC gasket kit.

i had no problems, the gaskets fitted alright, I would have prefered genuine toyota but couldn't find anywhere that stocked them.

I'm sure some of the 2T block gaskets would fit, like head gasket, water pump(?), crank and sump gaskets, but half of the important ones would be missing such as timing cover, turbo, valve seals, rocker+inspection cover just to name a few. If you've ever tried making a timing cover gasket for a 3TG/2TG you know its much easier to buy one.
