hey,

I have a ta22 celica with a 3tgte wich is slowly dying and as i cant find a gasket kit for it anywhere i was just wondering how hard it would be to put a 3stge in there instead?

are they the same mounts ect.?

any help would be appreciated

This is the wrong section but anyway!

The mounts and everything else are completely different! Expect to fork out between 8 to 10k for the complete conversion.

Joel is doing the 3T -> 3S conversion at the moment I think (TURBO_RA28?) so he might be able to spread some light.

Anyway yep as shane (also doing a 3S swap! Evil or Very Mad ) said its a pretty mammoth job, do a search and have a look at whats been said about 3S swaps in the past, there is lots of good info out there! Cool

If you need a gasket kit, call Toysport in Los Angeles California, (323) 755-1177. They specialize in all the old Jap stuff but they are kinda high. www.toysport.com for e-mail.
