Hi All
I have an AE71 Rolla (KE70) which has the 4AC motor as standard. I am looking to fit a 4AGZE in it.
Wondering if any1 has done such a conversion and what the implications are. Have seen a few articles on 4ag(z)e in AE86's etc but nothing on a AE71.
Thanks

The AE71 chassis is nearly identical to the AE86, so any engine swap guides which apply to the AE86 apply to the AE71 as well.

Nearly identical? ..i thought it was exactly.
Yeah I realise it'd be pretty much the same scenario ..but obviouslly a few things are different such as engine bay dimensions, locations of radiator outlets, tunnel size perhaps, etc etc ....just wondering if any1 has done such a conversion and what parts went where.
Thanks

like Norbie said, everything applies. i have seen the conversion done in an AE71, EVERYTHING is the same, dont worry about dimensioins etc it all fits like it was meant to be there

Dont forget that the AE71 uses a borg warner (craphouse) diff, unlike the sprinter. But everything else is identical.

More than likely. I know that TE72 and AE86 rear ends are directly interchangeable.
