Ok, thought I would just start this topic cause I've seen that some people are having problems with the size of their avatars and such forth. Don't use Paint to resize them, it blows the big one. If you can't afford (cause I all know we purchase software here ) PhotoShop, there is a very compitent alternative avaialable for free from www.gimp.org or for a windows version www.gimp.org/win32
It might not be as feature rich as say, PS7, but its still a damn far sight better then most other programs out there. Just a suggestion

The GIMP 0wns! I've used it for years on my Linux boxes.

Yeah, I used to use it back in the PS5 days. Got really close to PS back then in terms of quality, but then PS6 came out and introduced vector layers.....
