Head swap necessary......

Hi again.....
Another post regarding a question about the 4AGZE.....
I would like to use the 92+ Levin 4agze engine which has the
8.9:1 compression ratio and oil cooled pistons....
But the problem is that the Levin 4AGZE has a small port head,
and the intake I'm planning on using a a big port manifold of my
current 4age engine.
My choices are.....
1) Bolt up the big port to the small port head!
(Can this be done?)
2) swap the head over and use my NA 4age head & Cams on the Levin
Block (How difficult it this, and any recommendations,
procedures, etc.)
Thanks
MIKE.

why do you want a big port head? do you plan to turbo it? if not why bother. if you are gonna turbo it you could use the head and manifold from the big port.

Hi....
EvoSTi....
Yes, I'm planning on turbo charging the engine, running a T25
turbo. Alas, it's a 88Kw Tvis engine intake plenum, and hence
the bigport question, as I know the Levin engines are small port.
Just wondering if you can bolt up a big port to a small port
head, or is it better to swap heads over. If swapping heads,
how difficult is this to do, as I've never done it! (And wanna
give it a try.)
Yojimbo.....
No... this is not a thread about rollaboy......
It's for my MR2 AW11.....
Thanks
MIKE.

why not just make a new intake manifold??? surely you could make up a much nicer turbo intake manifold than the stock type....
grab some bits of alloy, shape them, then get them TIG'd at an engineering shop.

LOL,
sorry, it should be prefaced with
"almost every sunday, sittin in the sun, having brunch at the local cafe, a friend of mine almost always says..." "... no matter what club she's been to"
and every time, it's still funny

kassma: Yes, you can bolt the bigport head to your 4AGZE block. I have the bluetop 86kw naturally aspirated head & cams bolted onto my 8.9:1 GZE. No mods required.
