Would anyone happen to know the impedance of 7M-GTE injector resistor packs as found on the earlier MA70?
Also if anyone knows the number of resistors in the packs?
Thanks in adavance

ive got an early (86-88 yellow plug - low imp resistors) 7mGE pack at home. ill have a look and let you know maybe later tonight.
theres two banks in the resistor pack from memory.
maybe that'll help?
cheers

Thanks. Two banks doesn't sound good even if the resistance is right. Sounds similar to the 5M ones I've got here - I'd need three sets to run 6 injectors independantly\sequentially.
The 7M-GTE onmes have a Toyota part number 28515-43040, don't know if it's common with the 7M-GE.
Any info on resistance would be beneficial as it could rule out the 7M ones as an option.

Think this is what you are after.
The 7MGE doesn't run a resistor pack according to the wiring diagrams...
Here is the 7MGTE Wiring diagram, as you can see it's 3 banks.

OK, thanks ; so the 7M-GTE runs it's injectors batched in pairs, so I'd need a pair of 7M-GTE packs to run 6 injectors individually if it's the right impedance.
Can anyone confirm the impedance?

what r u trying to do
y do u need to run the 6 injectors singularly
is it due to u r goin to run an aftermarket ecu
then most will run without resistors
but best to make sure with supplier

Power FC running US Spec 2JZ-GTE (JZA80) 550cc injectors (Low Impedance) in a 1JZ-GTE.
According to the tuner and inforation readily available, resistor packs are necessary to prevent frying the injector drivers in the ECU (designed for high Impedance).
US Spec TT MKIV's run resistor packs from the factory to match the high impedance injector driver in the factory ECU.

oh ok
didnt realize it was a power fc
u canmake yr own resistor pack
cant remember but they might be 10 ohm resistors

Make you own resitor pack as side shows says. 10ohm should be good for low impedence injectors. Use 50W resistors on each one and you should be right.

Sideshow and Roger, thanks for the suggestion of making my own - I have considered it as a last resort, but if I can source appropriate ones from an existing vehicle with mounting bracket, heatshield, loom and water resistant plugs, I'd rather exhaust these possibilities first.
I've actually found a resistor pack of 6 X 6.5 Ohm resistors as used on an '82 MX62 for $5 - just need to clarify the acceptable resistance required.
Would anyone know why the US resistor packs are only 6 Ohm as opposed to the 10-11 Ohm difference between the Jap and US spec 440cc and 550cc injectors that the JDM spec MKIV JZA80 guys use for the upgrade?
