EPA fines
Defects
Less recirculating unburnt gases should decrease the intake charge temps (minor degree id say)
There will be no reduction in octane levels due to no oil blow by from the crank case (assuming you are doing a catch can setup)
And i have no idea how the carbon canister works on these things

not if youre handy and just plug the lines with ball bearings, and put it all back together stock looking

youre talking about the EGR? egr actually decreases combustion temperatures as it is considered 'dead space' in the chamber. you disconnect it, comb temps will go up (along with power) but your emissions will also go up

you can happily leave the carbon canister connected as it really does bugger all to the intake, but does recirculate and filter tank gas (i think)
cheers

Actually a correctly functioning EGR system will disable itself at WOT, thus there should be no effect on peak power.
