I need to replace my pod filter to blue slip my 18rgeu motor.
What air box is small and could fit onto a 3 inch round adapter on the afm. Im not looking forward to the search as time is an issue

Get a box from a 22RE celica (RA65), these bolt up to the existing AFM (same bolt pattern) and should fit okay in the right hand f.corner of the celica bay. I had to relocate my washer/wiper/overflow bottle to give the pod more room..

I am hoping not to have to go through this, i wonder if you can make a box around the pod filter? would this be legal if you enclosed the pod? I guess its still not standard setup, but would this be able to get quick engineers approval to counter the blue slip stuff?

I know theres no such thing as Quick engineers approval, and i know they charge like $300 an hour for this type of thing..

Yeh id just go for the RA65 22RE air box. Save some time.
Just check your AFM bolt spacing to be certain when you pick up the air box that it will bolt up correctly.
I am using the 22RE AFM on my 18rgeu, because it seemed like the identical unit i think..

I picked up an airbox from an late st141 or similar which fitted quite well.
I turned it on its side, took off the lugs and drilled a hole and bolted it directly the washer bottle anchor point. The afm bolted straight in, this is an 18rgeu afm. The air intake on the box is directly in line with the back of the headlight hole.Cool!!!
I will go back to the pod, as I have a cold intake pipe from under the car/guard through the side wall into the top of the pod, works well.
I looked at the ra65 box I was told to use but it would have been an odd fit, the angles off the afm, seems wrong,. finding an anchor point would have been fiddley, also the one I used is plactic and came with a brand new filter. I did take digital shots that I was going to add, but I could not work out how to add them?
