A while ago i metioned that some local people get together for a wakefield run and a few people from here were interested.
So its finally going to happen.
Details are below.
Date: Wednesday 22nd October 2003
Time:
6.00am -meet at Menai Skate Park (Allison Cresent, Menai - opposite Macdonald's)
Leave shortly there after, driving in convoy to Goulburn.
8.00am -Breakfast at PARAGON cafe, Goulburn main street.
9.00am -Arrive at track -organise Wakefield licence if necessary.
9.15am -Drivers meeting in pits
4.00pm -Track closes
Costs:
$100.00
(there is more details here which i have to verify)
Clothing: Australian Standard Approved helmet, long sleeve shirt (wool or cotton), long pants(cotton or wool), socks(cotton or wool) & leather shoes/boots. Alternatively any Australian Standard or CAMS approved clothing/boots.
Equipment etc:
Fuel is not available at the track - bring extra (there is also servos a few k's down the street.)
Compressed air is normally available for tyres.
Drinks are available at Cafe at Track - no alcohol
Food is normally available at the track, fairly basic but better than eastern creek - just as well!
Garages:
Available at track - first come basis
Road worthy vechile (secure battery; steering, brakes & lights work etc.)
NSW Drivers or CAMS Licence or equivalent
Volunteers:
Needed for scrutinizing & flah marshalling please help for 1 hour.
Track Rules:
Wakefield Park insist that "burn-outs" are not allowed, any driver doing so will be banned without a refund - sorry guys 
Apparent uncontrolled fishtailing at the entry to the main straight is considered dangerous to those following and is also banned.
Simple track safety rules will be explained at the drivers meeting on the Day.

well i got work off...yay
gona find out some more info but for people who are interested you dont have to race aswell
from memory its $30 to be a passengar, people are more than friendly enough to take you for some laps.
you need a helmet, these can be hired for $20.
i'll add it to the above post when its confirmed.

I'm up for a day off work. If its wet I can practise my wet weather driving.
Need a helmut though - I've got a large head.
Who's actually hiring out the track? Who will we be on the track with?

Hi All,
My mate is a professional digital video producer and I have asked him to come along for the day and get footage all day.
He would like to drive for free in return for a professionally edited video. He will have lipstick cams and all sorts. If nobody else is keen then I'll probably pay for him myself but the more that chip in the cheaper it will be. He is a keen motorsport enthusiast and his last Wakefield track time he set in his bog standard WRX wagon "work car" was 1:14.9
I think it's worth a few extra bucks to have someone dedicated to shooting footage (in each car if he's game!!:) and get a professional edit afterward.
so...who's keen??????

I believe it costs $1700 to hire out the track any weekday.
Not a bad birthday with 10 mates I'd say....or upcoming Toymods only day.

there is a pricelist on teh wakefield site detailing the costs for everything from ambos to fire extinguishers.
What time are you meeting at Marulan???
that sounds like a good spot to meet up.

ok peoples, can i just get a show of hands whos definately coming to wakefield.
Also you will need a wakefield licence to race which is $25-30 this can also get you out on the track as a passengar.
Helmets can be hired on the day for $20.
All this is on the top of the initial $100 cost.

I know you want definate numbers, but I am a big chance as I mentioned the other day. Will you be travelling from Meani, along Heathcoat road and onto the M5. I'm right near the M5 at Liverpool and could possible jump on the cue as you go through. Also, do you use 2-ways and if so what chanel. Cheers, Kevin

Sorry for the late notice, but i cant make it anymore. Couldnt get the WHOLE day off work.. Also, track wise, my car is not ready so I'll have to give this a miss..
