if price is not a major issue, I can get you in contact witha guy that sells ultra-light mags, undrilled, for around $1000 a corner
you cant go wider that 9" without an engineer's certificate (not legally anyhow)
What I want on mine is 16x8 on the front, 16x9 on the back. dont want to go to 17s... rubber is getting too thin

Obviously you are going to be looking at custom wheels, I don't know whether ROH or CSA(Mullins) do much in the way of this. Apart from Draven's guy you don't have many options.

if you're still interested at that price, I can get the details for you.
otherwise I'd be going the simmons.
cheaper, a lot heavier.. but if you're not making an uber performance car, who cares?

hmm well its not a major issue, but it still IS an issue
i dont think im ready to shell out $4k plus tires.
what wud an engineer be looking at with rims anyway?
and what tires would be needed with 17's, are we talking wafer thin (35's?)
there are some really nice bbs's tho, mayb i cud look at them...
i just think that if im going to spend that much on rims and tires i might as well go all the way and fit the widest rims..

well, you cant go more than 2" outside of the largest factory specs.
sing the mk2s only came with 14x7, you can put anything wider than 9" on it without an engineer's cert.
you major problem would be a cranky cop deciding to defect you for it.
