from a quick google search i got a general consensus of:

180hp @ 7600 RPM (USA models only japan, australia, new zealand models may vary)
130 lb/ft @ 6800 RPM

180hp converts to 134 kw
130 lb/ft ..... dunno what that converts to in nm

anyone know how to convert to nm ?

To find more details on the ZZT231, go to New Celica Webpage (USA)

The engine between the 2003 and the 2000 hasn't changed much though the red line in the 2000 is at 7800rpm and the 2003 is at 8400rpm *Exact figures I can't remember*.

This is what was taken off the Toyota.com.au Website on the engine.

Maximum Power 140kW @ 7600rpm
Maximum Torque 180Nm @ 6800rpm
...

Hope that helps
Cheers.

From the 2000 Celica Owners Manual.
Engine Type: 2ZZ-GE 4 Cylinder, in-line
Displacement: 1796cc
Valve mechanism: Variable Valve Timing and Lift Intelligent (VVT-Li)
Valve Train: Twin Cam
Bore & Stroke (mm): 82.0 x 85.0
Compression ratio: 11.5:1
Max Power: 140 kW @ 7600RPM (188bhp)
Max Torqe: 180 Nm @ 6800RPM (133 ft/lbs)
Fuel System: Electronic sequential multi-point Fuel Injection
Fuel required: 95 RON (Premium Unleaded)
Ignition System: Distributorless, Electronic Direct Ignition System

The earlier models were redlined at 7800RPM and fuel cutoff is at 8300RPM or thereabouts. I believe the Corolla Sportivo is redlined at 8300, I don't know if the current Celica is redlined any higher or not, certainly the UK & Japanese models were. In any case maximum performance can only be realised by changing as close to fuel cut as possible to try and keep the engine on the high lift cam.
