185mm? where did your flywheel come from ?? Are you using a T50 gearbox? I'd seriously consider ditching the flywheel you have and fitting a "normal" 200mm 4AGE flywheel.

Quote: | Flywheels & clutches
The flywheels on all the 4AGE's are held on with eight extremely high quality bolts. They are fine for all amounts of power. The AE-86 flywheel is a little smaller than the others, and so is the clutch assembly. In fact the clutch on the AE-86's 4AGE is exactly the same as the single cam 4AC. Not entirely sure if that's a good thing, but it seems to last okay and makes it pretty cheap & easy to get new ones. FWIW, I think that the 3TGTE clutch assembly should bolt straight on, and if so, it would be a good thing as they can take 160ft-lbs of torque - A lot more than the 4AGE clutch is designed for.
The other 4AGE's have a flywheel & clutch that is about 12mm larger in diameter, and so they are not interchangeable with the AE-86 unit.

ok.. so it is a rwd 4age flywheel.
now, should i use it? or buy a 200mm flywheel?
does anyone know if it would make any difference, performance wise?
can anyone confirm that the 3tgte clutch kit will fit?
part number?
does anyone in melbourne have a 200mm one lying around that they wouldn't mind giving me?

which part of that quote from bill's site makes you think that the flywheel you have is a RWD 4AGE one? I still think that the "12mm bigger one" that bill is referring to is actually the one that people commonly say is 215mm, as fitted to the 100kw (FWD only) red top 4AGE's. All bluetop 4AGE's (RWD or FWD) and the AE86's 4AC use a 200mm face flywheel. I'm still unsure where you're 188mm one could have come from...
BTW: in that picture you took, is there no locating dowels for the clutch pressure plate, or is my eyesight really bad?

I saw my flywheel being removed from an import RWD AE86 4AGE, so its definately the real deal, and has a 200mm face, same as the front wheel drive blue top 4AGE (AE82) and the AE86 RWD 4AC
