water temp sensor / dash display for a 2j conversion Sun, 14 September 2003 10:29 Go to next message
The water temp sensor on a 2j between 60~120 degress is represented by a voltage of 0.2 ~1.0 Volts.

What is the default on an MA61?

Can i just wire the standard sensor output straight up to the dash and have correct operation or is it a little more difficult than that?

ta guys.

just pull the original sensor from the original engine and fit it to the new engine

then yr dash will read correctly

sometimes the thread size is different so might not be an easy job

No need to swap the sensor. I'm using a 2JZ sensor with my MA61 temp gauge and it works fine.
