AE86 clutch

Well I'm running the same clutch with the 4AGE that Ive since i bought the car (4AC). Lately it seems the power just isn't going anywhere, and i think my clutch is knackered. I'm wondering what sort of clutch i should be in the market for. I want something that ain't going to give out in 2 seconds, and one that can take a bit of rough treatment.

I paid $230
but is your motor the 86kw or 100kw model! You need to specify this otherwise I could have given you the wrong part number. The 100kw clutch is bigger.

OK then, that's cool, the part number I gave you was for an 86kw motor.

I agree with TE72...Definantly go Daikin/Exeedy . Best value for money. I've always used Exeedy clutches and never had a problem. Using an Exeedy heavy duty in my ae86 at the moment.
Cheers

I believe that the 4ac & 4age clutches are a little bit different in some way, someone may want to eleboarte this further. The flywheels have different amount of bolts dont they.
I heard this from some mechanic somewhere.
My ae86 (4age) has a exeedy h/duty item, cost me about $270 from memory. Hasnt given one once of trouble, been in car for about 8,000kms
Hope this helps

I think you'll find that a worn clutch is much LESS likely to slip in the lower gears. you normally start to notice it mostly in 3rd or 4th gear around peak torque up a hill.
