I have been posting on the discusion board for a while now trying to find out some information on the 1G-GTE conversion in the corona st141. i have a few question which i would like some answers to if anyone know them:
1. Where can i get a 1G-GTE halfcut from? 2. what kind of k's am i expected to find on the engine? 3. What mods have to be done the the body, engine mounts, tailshaft to fit the engine? 4. Any know how much the conversion roughly cost? 5. Is it possible to fit the hilux LSD diff into the corona? 6. Any common problem with the 1G-GTE?
The man i am looking to talk to Abes seems to be no longer on the net so i am pretty hard up for this information. Any help with be fine thanks heaps

Half cut, no idea. Have you tried National Truck Spares?
Km's vary but can be from 80k to 250k km....
No idea about the tailshaft mods. Should be non though if you have a W5x gearbox.
Conversion cost is dependant upon if you do it yourself or get someone else to do it. The ST141 is carby isn't it?
Hilux diff should fit, but I can't really tell you more than that.
Problems with the 1G? The top end seems to be a bit weak. My first 1G-GTE spat a bucket and ate a huge chunk out of its exhaust cam. Other than that.... Remember to tighten the oil pickup bolts....
Make sure you get a gen III 1G-GTE!
