Can anyone assist here - my rear windscreen demister does not work.

What are my options ?

(should check the wiring first i spose ?)

first, yeah, check youre getting 12v accross the terminals that connect to the window element.

then work accross each element wire/strip with a multimeter, making sure youve got no breaks in each one. if you do, you can get a conductive glass adhesive from pretty much any auto store. mask the window on either side of the element strip, and paint on the adhesive with a nail brush.

if the elements are all good, but still no action check continuity between the window terminals and the dash switch. and also make sure the switch is getting 12v and is functioning properly.

oh, you can also buy whole new element arrays. they come adhered to a film which you can line up on your window, rub down, and then remove the film leaving the new element array in place.

Somehow.. ur 2nd option sounds much more appealing..

any idea as to costs and where to get the wires from ?

saw the whole replacement kit at autobarn... cant remember how much, maybe $30? dont quote me, thats only a guess...
